Sign 750 Sub-station

Circa 1960


Sign attached to the RIVERDALE Sub Station This was a 5 KV substation - Primary supply 15KV (13,800 volt) with 5KV (4160 volt) secondary feeder circuits, for distribution

This substation was located at 87 St and 103A Ave one block north of the west end of the Dawson Bridge.

Station was placed service in 1960, and decommissioned in June 2001 as feeder circuits were converted to 15kV.

The building was re-purposed and is now the home of the Edmonton Dragon Boat Racing Club.

Location: 

We are located on the grounds of the Leduc West Antique Museum. Travel 5 km west of Leduc on Highway 39. Go north on Range Road 260 (Cohne Dale Road) for about 800 metres and the museum will be on your right. If you're coming from the west, Cohne Dale Road is 5km east of Highway 60.

Hours of operation 2025

Exhibition dates remaining for 2025 are the the Annual Exposition on July 19 & 20, the Fall Harvest on September 6 & 7 and the Lesco Truck Show on September 19th and 20th. Watch this space!
