A 5 Kv Circuit Breaker
This is a circuit breaker not unlike the circuit breakers in your electrical panel except that it can handle 1200 Amps at 5000 Volts! (Most of the breakers in your house are rated at 15 Amps and 120 Volts).
This particular breaker (#503) was removed from #500 Substation located in the alley across from the Army & Navy on Whyte Avenue when the station was decommissioned.
